Actor and stuntman, Mars was born on February 28, 1954 in Hong Kong as Wing-Fat Cheung. He is known for his work on Police Story (1985), Double Team (1997) and Drunken Master II (1994).
He was a student of Sifu Fok-Fa Fan in the Peking Opera School with kung fu legends and friends Lam Ching-Ying lam, Fat Chung, Tai-Bo and stage actor John Lone.
Mars is a senior member of the Jackie Chan stuntmen association (Sing Kar Pan) and the Sammo Hung stuntmen association (Hung Kar Pan).
He is one of Jackie Chan’s best friends and was asked by Bruce Lee to perform several stunts on the films Fist of Fury (1972) and Enter the Dragon (1973).
His stage name, Mars, in Cantonese means “The Burning Star”.
