Martial artist Jénel Stevens is a stunt performer and actress. She is known for her work on Luke Cage (2016), The Girlfriend Experience (2009) and Orange Is the New Black (2013), Black Panther (2018), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Breaking In (2018).
Jénel Stevens has been training under Sifu Dan Anderson since 2009. She has also been working and training closely with Simo Dasha Anderson during the development stages of Kettlebell Kickboxing™. Jénel is a Master Level Kettlebell Kickboxing™ (M-KBIA) instructor. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a (MS) Master of Science in Sport Administration. Additionally, she is a (CSCS) NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and a Precision Nutrition Certified Nutritional Counselor. Jénel also has a pre/post natal certification.
Jénel has been an athlete all her life. She played Division I basketball for Canisius College on a full scholarship for four years. Jénel was inducted into the 2014 Class of Canisius College’s Sports Hall of Fame for her amazing achievements throughout her collegiate career in Women’s Basketball. Since she retired from basketball, Jénel has put all her energy into her love of martial arts.
Jénel Stevens currently trains in Muay Thai, Boxing, Jeet Kune Do (JKD) and Filipino Martial Arts at AMAA where she is undefeated as a National Muay Thai Gold Medal Champion and the new WKA New York State Lightweight Muay Thai Champion. She has earned her Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and her Black Belt in Jeet Kune Do and Filipino Martial Arts. She is a also disciple and Level 9 Balintawak practitioner under Great Grandmaster Crispulo Atillo.
Jénel is the nutrition and conditioning coach of the Anderson’s Martial Arts USA World Kickboxing Association (WKA) Fight Team – a Championship team which in 2014 brought home 23 medals, one of which belonged to her.
Jénel is also in the Kettlebell Kickboxing™ Scorcher Series, Body Series, and 7 Day Lean Series DVDs.
