Elodie Yung was born in Paris, France on February 22, 1981. She is of Cambodian and French descent. Elodie grew up in Seine-saint-Denis, in Le Bourget, where she practiced karate and obtained her Black Belt. She graduated from University of La Sorbonne in Paris and has a degree in law. She then decided to study acting at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in London.
Elodie Yung is known for playing the role of Hathor in Gods of Egypt (2016), Jinx in G.I. Joe: Retaliation (2013), Miriam Wu in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) and Tao in District 13: Ultimatum (2009).
She is the first non-American actress to portray Elektra Natchios in a live action adaption of the character in the the Netflix series Daredevil (2016). She is stunt doubled by martial artists and stuntwoman Lauren Kim.
